Pastor Tim Keller does a great job of proving practical application to the book of Romans. This is a two-part series (book 1: chapters 1-7; book 2: chapters 8-16)

Dr. Douglas Moo is one of the foremost scholars on the book of Romans today! This commentary is a fantastic hybrid of background information and interpretation of the text, as well as contemporary application for the church today. This commentary is highly recommended!

Michael Bird is an Australian scholar who has given an interesting commentary on Romans. Some of this book is technical, but he still presents the information in a way that is applicational to the life of the Christian. This is a fine book, but will take effort to work through

For the extremely serious student who wants to dive deep into Romans, you can utilize "BiblicalTraining.org." This is an AMAZING, free, website that hosts a number of seminary-level classes, taught by some of the leading biblical scholars in the Evangelical world!

For the letter to the Romans, BiblicalTraining.org has lectures from Dr. Douglas Moo (a man who has written multiple commentaries on Romans, and is considered one of the best interpreters of the book living today).
